In Peking opera, the Sheng (生) is the male lead in the opera stories. The most representative Shengs were Ren Tang Hui in “Generals of the Yang Family”, Xu Xian in “The Legend of the White Snake”, and Zhou Yu in “Romance of the Three Kingdoms”.
