She lived simply, and yet her life was a full one, accomplishing much in the short time she was given. It was not the number of accolades she received, but it was about the number of lives she touched and changed with her tender compassion. Her passion and devotion was in loving and caring for the lost, the last, and the least.
Her selfless contributions touched the lives of many. The starving were fed and nourished, the dying found comfort and peace. In her, the homeless found shelter for the night and the abandoned babies cradled with love in the warmth her arms.
If there is one thing that we can learn from her life, it is that all of us need to love and be loved and we need to show grace and compassion to the people around us. Her legacy is a legacy of love and hope.
In her own words, “I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.” - Mother Teresa.
