With a long nose and pink cheeks, Daitengu enjoyed a life of proud loneliness.
One day, when he was practicing in the mountains as usual, the storm burst in all its fury. After a little while, Daitengu heard the crying. He then dressed up as a monk, cowled to check what was happening. It turned out to be a little girl who had become separated from her parents because of the storm. Reluctantly, Daitengu agreed to give the girl a hand rather than leave her alone.
Since then, Daitengu could be spotted flying over many areas. With his huge wings spread and with his katana hung on his waist, he kept carrying a little girl and helping her to look for her parents. Throughout his journey, numerous incredible things happened to them.
Nevertheless, there was one thing that Daitengu might not know forever; that is, the girl on his shoulder went into the mountains all by herself and she never knew who her parents were.
